Booking terms

Effective September 25, 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Dead Level TV Mounting provides TV mounting and related installation in the Austin, Texas area. It is operated by The Maintenance Guy Home Services LLC. "We" and "us" mean that business; "you" means the person who books.

2. Your quote

Prices are flat and based on what you tell us when you book: the number and size of TVs, the wall type, the mount, and any add-ons. Each extra TV on the same visit is priced by its own size at the extra-TV rate, and your most expensive TV is priced as the first one.

If the job on site differs from the booking (a different wall type, another TV, a fireplace that wasn't mentioned), we'll tell you the new price before starting. You can accept it, change the job, or cancel the extra work. We never add a charge without your OK.

3. Deposit

A $50 deposit is required to confirm a booking. Your time is held for about 30 minutes while you pay. If the deposit isn't paid in that window, the hold is released. The deposit is applied to your final price.

4. Cancelling

You can cancel from the link in your confirmation email or by calling us.

If we have to cancel for any reason, your deposit is refunded in full, or you can move it to a new time, whichever you prefer.

5. Rescheduling

6. Arrival and no-shows

We'll text or call when we're on the way. If no one is there to let us in, or we can't get access within 15 minutes of arriving, the appointment counts as a no-show and the deposit is kept. Someone 18 or older needs to be present for the job.

7. Paying the balance

When the job is done, the final price minus your $50 deposit is due. With your agreement at booking, we charge it to the card you used for the deposit. Card details are stored by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or keep your full card number. You can also pay the balance by another method we accept on site.

8. Your part

9. Wires and power

"Hide wires in the wall" uses a recessed, code-compliant power and cable kit designed for TV installs. We don't do electrical work that requires a licensed electrician, such as adding a new circuit or moving an outlet. If a job needs it, we'll tell you before starting.

10. If something goes wrong

We work carefully, use a stud finder or the right anchors for your wall, and level every install. If we damage something through our own mistake, tell us and we'll make it right by repairing it or paying the reasonable cost of repair. We aren't responsible for pre-existing damage, defects in your TV or equipment, or hidden conditions inside walls that couldn't reasonably be detected. Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, except where Texas law doesn't allow a limit.

11. Contact about your booking

By booking, you agree that we may call, text or email you about that booking: confirmations, arrival updates, changes and receipts. We don't use your details for marketing, and we don't sell or share them.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in Travis County, Texas.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you booked applies to your booking.
